Trick or Treat

Benson attended his first Halloween party last night.   We decided to go with a Curious George theme, so Lundon went as a banana, Benson went as Curious George and I went as the Man in the Yellow Hat.  We had so much fun at the Hayslip home and they decorated their house so cute  for the party.  Thanks Trinette for inviting us! Benson was very good considering it was way past his bedtime, but the costume did not stay on long.  At least we got a picture:)  Here he is looking a little shocked.

Lundon was such a good sport!

I had to include this last picture because I thought it was Halloween-y.  I have been killing at least a spider a day while Lundon is at school and they all look exactly like this.  They are hairy and huge!  So, of course I had to research them on the internet and all I can figure is that they are wolf spiders and that they don't hurt people.  If any of you out there are experts on spiders, let me know if I am wrong!

Great idea!! Benson would look cute in anything. Did you use the dragon at all? (isn't that what we got while you were here?)

Ok, being a total blog stalker I already did the yearbook pics. How funny are they? But not quite as funny as seing Lundon as a banana and Josh as the tooth fairy. I don't think I can look at either of them again without laughing!

From what I remember from one of my biology classes, Wolf spiders are members of the family Lycosidae, from the Greek word "λύκος" meaning "wolf". They are robust and agile hunters, and have good eyesight. They live mostly solitary lives and hunt alone. Some are opportunistic wanderer hunters, pouncing upon prey as they find it or chasing it over short distances. Others lie in wait for passing prey, often from or near the mouth of a burrow. Though usually considered harmless to humans, the bite of some species may be painful so don't let them bite Benson cause it could still hurt.

What a cute theme! I love the costumes! You are brave to get those horrible spiders, hope they go away during the cold winter.
